Also included in these scenic photography books are photographs of some the Colorado Plateau region’s spectacular river corridors, and many of the proposed wildernesses, now in more danger than ever from the area’s rapid growth and government policies that have marginalized and excluded them. Plateau Province also depicts areas that have been spared destruction, for now, by the hard work of Southwestern environmental groups.

Though Tom is a contributor to countless photography books about the region, nearly all of the photographs in Plateau Province have not appeared in book form before. Plateau Province has become a leader in landscape photography books, showcasing 135 full color photographs and an essay on desert photography lore, techniques, camera equipment and how the photographs were made.
