Outside the city of Cape Town, South Africa, the Cape of Good Hope ends the world’s second biggest continent under the ocean waves.

Along with the beautiful nearby Table Mountain, Cape Town is surrounded by the beauty of huge tablelands, steep cliffs, and ocean grandeur.

The strange plants that populate Africa are there, as is some of the most beautiful lichen in the world.

Security in South Africa is often a concern, but these areas are usually crime free. Several roads climb up to Table Mountain with magnificent views, and also go from there to the south and the Cape. Trails on the Mountain go to beautiful canyons and peaks rising above the whole area.
